IDIS is designed to provide the infrastructure and the tools necessary to manage and carry out efficiently the development, test and operation of the Planck instruments, and the subsequent processing of the data. IDIS is developed for and by the Planck consortia and the DPCs in particular.

IDIS is split in 4 components :
DMS, Documentation Management System
SW, Software Repository source code and releases management,
- Sources are managed under CVS and distributed over main processing centers,

- Planck CVS how to get the codes
- Bug tracking tool allow to view or submit bugs all DPC source code.

DMC, Data Management System, implementation of a database to manage data, currently reviewing URDs (January 2004)
